Our Centre offers Flying Start provision alongside a state-funded Nursery. Day Care can also provide wrap-around care for these services if families choose to apply.

Flying Start

Flying Start allocations are managed by your Health Visitor. The Ely and Caerau Children’s Centre receives a termly intake from Flying Start once spaces have been confirmed. From there, we allocate sessions within our Day Care where availability allows.

Please note that Flying Start and Nursery sessions are only available during term time.

Some children at the Centre may attend both Nursery or Flying Start sessions alongside privately booked Day Care as wrap-around care. Because Nursery and Flying Start operate only during term time, any combined booking (e.g., Flying Start + Day Care) will automatically be classed as term-time only.
This is non-negotiable.

If you require Day Care during school holidays, you will need to book these sessions separately via the internal booking forms held at reception. Not to worry—we will send a reminder to all families on Seesaw each half term and before holidays!
