Baby Room

We understand how difficult it can be to leave your baby for the first time. That’s why we do everything possible to make the transition into day care smooth and stress-free for both you and your child.
Our baby room is warm, cosy, and filled with natural light. It includes its own safe and secure outdoor space, as well as a ventilated sleeping area where each baby has a designated sleep space.
We follow your baby’s routine as closely as possible throughout the day, providing plenty of love and cuddles alongside high-quality resources to support play and development.

Nature and Outdoor Play

Our baby room has a beautiful outdoor area where babies can develop physical skills and enjoy sensory experiences such as water, sand, and mud play. Many of our babies love exploring outdoors in all kinds of weather—even the rain! We always guide their choices and ensure they are dressed appropriately.
Much of our practice is inspired by Froebelian principles, which emphasise the importance of nature in early childhood. As Froebel said:
'The child should experience nature ‘in all its aspects – form, energy, substance, sound and colour’. (Froebel in Lilley 1967:148)
At the Centre, we view the outdoors as a space full of possibilities—a place for babies to grow, explore, and develop curiosity. It’s also where they begin to build trust and an early understanding of risk. Our outdoor space is safe for crawling, sitting, walking, and climbing as babies become more confident.
Here, they can touch, feel, see, and smell the wonders of nature—leaves of many varieties, pine cones, tree bark, and even insects! Our observations show that babies engage with nature in a truly multi-sensory way when outdoors.
